William Dilworth lives and works in New York City and Upper Jay, New York. Born & educated in Detroit, Bill has lived on the LES of NYC for thirtyseven years and has spent the past seventeen summers in the Adirondacks. In the 80’s he showed work in the Lower East Side. In the 90’s he participated in group shows in Soho. More recently he has shown work at Le C’neai in Chatou, France, at Dartmouth College, and in the Adirondacks. In 2012 Bill put together and showed in Hardscrabble/Tough  AuSable Forks/Detroit at the Tahawas Lodge Center in AuSable Forks, New York. Last year Bill showed a 12’ x 10’ Woven Limb painting in BIG PAINTINGS, The Midland Invitational in Highland Park, Detroit. This summer Bill will be showing as a founding member of the Inhabitants of Ether Island at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York.
He takes care of The New York Earth Room for the Dia Art Foundation. He also takes care of the oldest tower clock in New York City at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in the Lower East Side. He has been called The Keeper of Earth and Time.
